Google PageRank Update

Google Page Rank update is on-going and we’re happy to inform you that our website got a pagerank of 2. Most of the blogs we are currently working with got pageranks as well. Some as high as PR 5. Webmasters across the web reported fluctuations in their page rank beginning on the first of April. The pagerank update is expected to be completed a few more days from now.

What about you, did you notice any major PageRank fluctuations on your websites or around the web?

What I like about the PageRank update is Google’s consistency this time. The last pagerank update was on the 2nd of January and 3 months after, Google rolled up another update. I hope Google sticks to this 3-month interval to give more certainty to webmasters and SEOs.

While Google PageRank is considered by most bloggers and webmasters as an irrelevant factor in the computation of search engine ranking, I believe otherwise. I still think that Google page rank is vital if you want to rank high on search engines’ result pages for your targeted keywords. Also, Google page rank is one of the factors that is valued by advertisers. The higher your Google page rank, the more attractive you are to advertisers. In other words, Google page rank is important if you are monetizing your website or your blog.
